Show business legend Tommy Steele will tell the extraordinary tale of America's most famous big band leader in The Glenn Miller Story at the Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield.

It’s been more than 70 years since Glenn Miller vanished over the English Channel as he flew to Paris to entertain the troops during the Second World War.

Did he crash? Was he shot down? Will the mystery ever be solved?

And heading the cast is one of British entertainment’s most celebrated figures.

Tommy Steele was Britain’s first rock & roll star.

His legendary career includes more than 20 hit singles, 12 hit movies and starring roles in countless award-winning stage musicals such as Half a Sixpence, Hans Andersen and Singin’ in the Rain.

The Glenn Miller Story is at the Lyceum Theatre from August 16 to 20.
