Lauren said: “I used to be a hairdresser and I’ve always had my hair long.
“At the moment I’m feeling quite nervous but happy but I’m so nervous it’s unbelievable - I’m shaking just thinking about it.
“Everybody says my hair is so long and beautiful but it will grow back in a year-and-a-half to two years so I’ll cope.”

Hide AdLauren, who works at a nursing home for elderly and young people with learning disabilities, said she took on the challenge knowing how hard it was for healthcare workers at the moment.
She said: “It’s such a tough time but the NHS is wonderful - they’re working around the clock just to keep everyone going.
“But I also wanted to show my support for my colleagues as well - it’s hard work at the moment but I find it very rewarding.
“Considering everything that is happening at the moment staff and residents in care homes are doing brilliantly.”
