Bassetlaw: Allegations against Labour referred to police
An allegation of electoral malpractice against the Labour Party in Bassetlaw has been referred to the police.
The claim came as voters went to the polls for the General Election today.
The Guardian has so far been unable to contact John Mann, who is running for re-election for Labour, for a comment.

Hide AdA Notts Police spokesman said: “We can confirm that the matter has been referred to us for our consideration.”
A Bassetlaw Council spokesman said: “We do not comment on specific allegations, but confirm that we take appropriate action in relation to any allegation made to us and where necessary and appropriate we refer matters to the police.”
